Dog House
Dog House
4-Sep-08
to 25-Sep-08
This short project was for a charity auction benefiting an animal shelter. I developed a patterning and geometry generation script and designed the water run-off channel. The pattern and construction method were inspired by the design of the masonry logic lobby wall. Bamboo plywood was cut on a CNC router stacked, pegged and glued. Trent Tesch’s design is based on traditional kennel style dog houses. They consist of a wooden crate with a side opening and half partition wall. The shape mimics the path a dog takes when settling down to sleep. That form was abstracted into the spiral of this dog house.
